Re: new rifle, can anyone share some wisdom (pic heavy)
Went to shoot her for the first time today. And shoot her younger cousin and the loudmouth sidekick (the rossi 92, and century arms coach) picked up the rossi earlier this week, and the shotgun today while getting ammo to go shooting today... funny how that works out sometimes. Once I figured out wh...

Re: new rifle, can anyone share some wisdom (pic heavy)
I was lead (hahaha) to believe cast was easier on the barrel than jacketed, is the difference so insignificant it wouldn't really matter on occasion?

Trading an AR for that ------ you may have to take the "un" out of "uncoolperson" I dont know what its worth -- but i know what i like when i see it (thumbs up) By prices expected out of each of our sales, I'm $100 ahead... Funny enough I saw an ad for a .32 special, and I...

Nope, need to order some cast bullets to load up for it. I don't want to send anything jacketed down a barrel this old.

I think I've figured out lighting.
Anything in particular I'm trying to get pictures of (for example I think I've figured out how to look for dishing of the screws [I ain't finding it here, wait... I should probably remove the filter on the lens])?

I'll try with some better lighting and a white background tomorrow. I might be getting rid of the sight. I think my eye is screwy or something, seems to bend the image to the left for me (and me alone so far, only had to wife look at it). I line up the irons and set the rifle somewhere it wont move,...

rebarrel a ted williams (winny 94)
I was thinking the other day, it'd be nice to have mine and my wife's rifles in the same caliber (32 spec). http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3037/3001516930_5cb3ce9f01.jpg http://flickr.com/photos/uncoolperson/3001516930/ So, how hard is a home done rebarrel of a 94? Any problems to expect with the te...

Re: some advice on picking up a set
well, I did a nice break down of her to clean the rifle out. way too much copper shavings everywhere, some powder chunks that i didn't get rid of completely, and a nice coat of dark matter down the barrel.... now she's shiny inside, well lubed up, and no copper. I'm not sure if it's the ted williams...

I've also had a Leupold scope that saw a lot of sunlight go plum in color. The area under the rings remained black as well so I ju...

32 WCF....even better!!!! You will be admonished for even thinking about scoping a levergun, but a lot of folks do it. There is no scope mount made for that gun without adding holes. A Weaver side mount scope base #3D can be adhered semi-permanently with 3M VHB #4929 . I have enough to spare if you...
