My wife and I went on one last summer. The food ranges from okay to great, the good news is if you don’t like it order something else. I tolerate the time on the ship. My wife and I are not much for sitting by the pool or drinking our time (and money) away. We love to explore the various ports. We s...

Sad, then MAD
I was working in “my room” when I accidently dropped my 1951 Marlin 39A. It hit square on the butt plate and bounced right up in my hand. The butt plate cracked. I told my wife I might have to go to a gun show this weekend to find one. I don’t think she believes me. Seriously; any ideas where can I ...

My Dad used an old corn sheller to remove the husk and tossed them in a cement mixer. He then poured them into a mesh cylinder to dry.
On a side note - if anyone lives in central Ohio and wants any walnuts (unshelled) let me know. My daughter has a couple trees on her property.

Re: OT: What have you found while out hunting or hiking???
When I was 15 I took a young hunter safety course and that allowed me to take my dad and hunt the weekend before pheasant season started. Dad parked the car, got out and took about 5 steps. He stepped on a Remington 1100. It looked like it had been in the high grass for about a week. We took it to t...

I'm a school teacher so I've only been there during the summer so I'm not much help with this time of year. My one suggestion is to take a spotting scope and tripod with you. It was great for watching the wolves and bears.

Tandy leather kits and Y Indian Guides, boy does that bring back memories! I think I still have my leather name tag. I was Running Fox and my dad was Sly Fox. Hobie,
I hope Bailey is up and doing fine by now. I had a similar problem back in May. The doctor thought it was an infection so she was given some antibiotics. The next day she was is pain. Turns out it was a kidney stone. My wife is doing fine now.

One of my other hobbies is lapidary. I've cut/recut a few alexandrites over the years. It's hard to tell from picture, but I'm betting it is a flame fusion synthetic. Like Jeepnik said look for a rock show, there will be someone there who can ID it.

I'm a lapidary, and I have to say NICE JOB! If you want to drill the holes get some diamond drills bits and a diamond carving point (to enlarge the hole). The secret to drilling the hole is to keep the bit cool. I take some of my girls playdough and make a little dam around the hole area and fill it...
