My 464 heavily prefers Remington corlokt 170s and the federal 170s. Those group under 1.5", while 150 grain bullets average around 3" at 100 yards

I was born in 1982, and I grew up with the Next Generation and several of the movies with the original cast. I've been a lifelong trekkie. It has been sad to watch the stars pass away over time. If it shoulders nicely, might try a youth Marlin 30-30. I've got a scoped 30-30 already, so I just want a compact rifle with plenty of power that will fit into a scabbard. A versatile "camp" rifle.

I've been lucky enough to get a promotion at work. So with my new found cashflow, I am between a choice of two utility rifles. A fun store near me has a Rossi 92 44 mag trapper, but 20" 30-30 rifles are quite common. I don't reload, and 44mag and 30-30 ammo are equally priced. So.....Rossi 44.....

A little taste of tornado alley in New York yesterday. Three EF-1 twisters and one EF-2. The EF-2 claimed the lives of four people. Most people I know got through the storm without incident, but prayers for the lost lives and people who lost their homes to wind and downed trees.

Just looking for some informed opinions. For an "assault rifle " in New York, the choices are few. I like my Mossbergs, so what do I get? The 7 shot tactical 590 or the 930? Money is tight, so the question is whether the semiautomatic is worth it. Opinions?
