question on value: 9422m
What is the value of a Legacy 22" barreled 9422m with a semi-pistol grip? It was purchased new in 2004, and it has mainly been a closet queen. 99% condition except for scope mount marks. I may have 400 rounds down the barrel.
My friend was interested in buying or trading for it. With my observations from the online sites and the cost of new rifles, I told him my friend price was $475. What happened next was shocking....an ugly display of swearing and name calling I haven't experienced in ages. Is my price high? I thought it was well below market price.
Kinda funny this may end up costing me a buddy. I don't take kindly to the insults thrown my way.

With friends like that, who needs ex-wives. I've seen beat up ones go for $400. What was he expecting, to get it for $200 or so.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I have a nice, nearly new 9422M...one of the last ones made. Right now, even if I wanted to sell it, and I don't, I'd expect no less than 800$$.........Now, THAT might be a little high, but, it's what I'd want for it.

Re: question on value: 9422m
$475 is giving it away, your friend is stupid for not jumping on it!...

Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

Recently sold one for $700. Was made in the late 70's from what I remember. I picked it up cheap in a local shop and never fired it.

Right on! The guy figured $200 for a masterfully crafted work of steel and walnut. I had a figuring that $700-800 was the going rate....but like I said, $475 was gonna be the friend discount. I don't shoot it much anymore, but the issue is that I live in Yorkistan under Comrades Cuomo and Bloomishvec. How would I sell to someone out of state? I don't know.
Re: question on value: 9422m
I would buy that 9422M all day long at $475.
Your buddy doesn't know what they're worth. Show him this thread if he wants one so bad.
Or, for all of his swearing and tantrum, he can shove it.

I would now double the price to him if he comes back.

Cheapest I've run across one lately is $500. If it had been LR instead of Mag I'd have bought it.

That's a price I would only give to a GOOD friend! Your bud obviously isn't aware of the true market value.
