Go buy a 6 pack of cheap beer, put it in a lawn sprayer, and add just a little dishwashing soap and spray generously.
It works......don't ask me how I know.

I think any guild quality gunsmith could do it. It is a fairly simple and straight forward operation. In fact lots of guys rent chamber reamers and do it themselves at home. I always felt that if I had it done to one of my rifles I would want to use the same chamber reamer on a set of 30 WCF dies so...

I agree with Lastmohecken's post. You might consider picking up a good used shotgun like a 12 or 20 gauge Mossberg 500 or Remington 870. Here in mid Michigan you can generally find them for $150 or so. Loaded with #6 shot in a 'trap' load would provide you a man stopping punch without a lot of pentr...

Uh....I may be demonstrating my ignorance here but if it is a bad headspace issue could you remove the barrel, take a thread or two off it and rechamber it to 30 WCF Ackley Improved and screw the barrel back onto the receiver? A buddy did this with a bolt action mauser with a bad 35 Whelen chamber. ...

I am still a pariah among some of my fellow shooting club memebers because 10 years ago I lead the effort to ban all alchol from the club grounds. I said it then and I'll say it now....it was a accident waiting to happen. I don't go to the bar to shoot and they should not come to the range to drink....

They go to my wife and then to my sons but I expect that as they grow older I will thin out the safe by giving them the firearms they seem to warm up to the most. So far the 14 year old 'claims' the Winchester 94 30 WCF I got from my dad, and the Ruger 10/22 INT while the younger son 'claims' the Be...

I am no expert but let me tell you how I have done well......there is a Mitsubishi car dealership here in town and they hire a lot of recent Armed Forces Veterans (who seem to turn over pretty quick there while they go to the local university). Here in mid Michigan an 80% gun with honest wear (not from abuse or neglect) will often be found for sale for $250-$300. Should YOU buy it.....well that is up to you. Would I buy it for that much even though I really don't need it....Yes, sadly I would and gladly face many more weeks of PBJ lunches ...

Every time I think of those Ted Williams rifles I have to chuckle to myself. I remember one day while I was looking at something in a gun shop a guy came in with one. He told the guy behind the counter he was wanting to sell it. the guy from the gun shop says well, it might be worth $75, which was ...
