The Herters compass was included in early USAF survival kits for flight crews, I believe was in use in WW2 in bail out kits then for escape and evasion.

I wish they would just talk to the end users of these weapons before they start trying to reinvent the wheel. See the M-14. M-16, M-4, (SA-80 for Nath & Gamekeeper) solving problems that had already been solved.

I know that a late friend would set Berdan primeredcases in the shell holder and fill the cases partially with water and use a small dowel and hammer to remove the primers hydraulically. As to the pocket prep after that I do not recall. "Berdan bedamened, boxers are us", was a phrase anoth...

Kids today are not allowed to play games that involve throwing objects (someone could get hurt), I would love to see them attempt to throw these rocks.
But of course there may be an "app" for that.

Great movie, but depressing written by Cormac McCarthy who also wrote "No Country for Old Men" as well as many others, none happy.

Wiped it off a piece of black olive, white steel where there used to be bluing.
Cleaned it used degreasers but I am still having trouble getting cold blue to stay on that dime sized spot.
