God be with you and yours. Thank God that you know where she is, she's in VERY good hands, and you WILL see her again.

I love it. I like things put together out of things that someone else discarded.

Re: Recommendations of first rifle for new grandaughter
Congratulations!! I just became a grandfather for the second time myself. Lily was born 5 weeks ago and Noah is three. On the guns. Right or wrong, my family never started with 22's. My first handgun shot was 45 colt. Shotgun - 16 gauge. Rifle - 30-30. All before age twelve. In that vein, I already ...

Re: OT...Hello the Fire...How's the Coffee?
+1 to Nate Kiowa Jones. Start using Community Dark Roast and it will stay brown. They sell my mail if you are not near Cajun Country (South Louisiana). One potential problem, once you like it, most other coffee tastes like dirty dish water. I love the stuff, but when I moved back to Texas, I had a p...

Re: 1894SS357-LTD
Yep, you did VERY good. Sets of all four (357, 41, 44, 45) sell for 3200, which makes $800 each. I'd love to get a shot at one, just like at least half the guys here. Congratulations!!

Re: OT - What can I say?
Good looking young man. Looks like you raised him right. But he looks so young. Did we look that young to our fathers? Yep, we did. Gives you some insight into their views of our "maturity" doesn't it? AmBraCol: You have every right to be proud. Anybody questioning the youth of America is...

Re: Ten Good Guns Are Easy.....But:
I've been lucky I guess. I've only had 2, both fixed by the maker. A Remington 700 that went off when you flipped the safety off, finger nowhere near the trigger. ( That was fun). Remington fixed that one, no problems. A Kimber 1911 compact that wouldn't chamber rounds all the time, even with Wilson...

My favorite 1911 is my father's Remington Rand. He got it just after WWII and won't part with it for love or money. Don't blame him. I have owned a Springfield Champion (should not have sold that one), Colt 1991A1 Gov't, Comander, and Officers, all gone. I had a Kimber Ultra Carry, but sold it as it...

I am a new member and this is my first post. I live in Texas. Thirty years ago, I worked the graveyard shift at the Ferguson State Prison in Madison County. I drove FM 247 south back to Huntsville every morning. This route crosses Bedias Creek right at the Walker County line. Three days in a row I s...
