I had a 1982 top eject Winchester 94. I thought the front ramp was brazed on but no it was forged with the barrel.

Re: New .22 mag levergun
A friend recently bought a Henry 22 mag lever action that was misfiring. He asked me to look at it. I took it to the range and fired it about 50 times. It seems the problem was that if you chambered a round and fired it without squeezing the grip/lever just a little it would misfire. If you squeezed...

My new one I bought in 2021 was 10 times smoother and much better put together than the one I bought in 2000. I squared the front bead to make it look like a flat square front sight with a little brass aiming square. Much better for old eyes than a bead. Then I had to grind down the sight elevator b...

Back in the day (2000) Midway had a sale on the Hornady 255 swaged bullet. But it wasn't the normal flavor. It was 500 round boxes for IIRC around $20. My least favorite to load is the 7.62 Nagant. It can be complicated at first, but you eventually get the hang of it. I use 30 carbine dies to size the case. I only have one 44 Special. A classic Bulldog. I use the Lee Tumble lube 240 grain semi-wadcutter over 5 grains of Bullseye. Seems like it Chrono's about 725 fps. Shoots to the point of aim and accurate enough to knock over the falling plates at 50 yards.
