Thanks for all of the replys. I do love my 30-30 for deer hunting. I have lots of different calibers

30-30 Winchester does it again.

Went out over the weekend in Northern Michigan for an early antlerless hunt. Sunday morning I shot on a nice size doe. I was using a Marlin 336 ss in the grand ol 30-30win, with a leopold 3x9 scope. Shot was taken at appx 50 yds in a hay field. I screwed up a bit because this gun is sighted in to sh...

I always use dielectric grease between the boot and the spark plug. This is mainly for keeping the moisture out of the contact area. For my 30-30 loads I use 150 Grain Winchester bullets. Set to an overall length of 2.555 and have never had a problem.
I also use 31 grains of IMR 3031 which makes for a real nice shooting bullet. Along with CCI benchrest primers. :D :D :D

I have lots of different calibers I can shoot/hunt with. But my go to deer rifle is a Marlin 336ss. With a Leopold VX3 3x9x40 scope. This gun is very very very accurate with this setup. For loading pistol rounds you will never need another press. Glad to hear you like it. :D :D :D :D
