Here's a .38 Spcl load you might try, I've gotten excellent results from it.

I actually loaded that ammo before I was married and shot it back in '05. Good load.
Here's a .357 Load that might work for you, nothing special but try 13.5grs of 2400 under a Keith SWC (Lyman 358429 or equivalent ), size to .358", standard SP primer, tight case tension and crimp.

I am buying a Uberti 38 special. Shot some reloads at the range and got 1" for six at Seven yards after a little sight setting familiarization.
AN ACTUAL UBERTI SAA IN 38SPL ??!!!
I TRIED TO GET MARIA UBERTI TO BUILD ME ONE BUT THEY ENDED UP PRESENTING ME WITH A REALLY FANCY ENGRAVED-TO-ME 357MAG. IT DOES SHOOT GREAT, EASILY OUTSHOOTING MY NM RUGER 357. BUT IT WAS NO 38SPL DUE TO THE FACT THE ITALIAN GUMMIT SAID NO ,IT WAS A "MILITARY" CALIBER AND THEY'D HAVE TO START A WHOLE NEW CHAPTER IN THEIR NATIONAL GUN COMPUTER RECORD FOR SINGLE ACTION 38SPL GUNS TO ACCOMODATE IT.

did they have to do this for the 38spl only mod66 rifles they have produced and the stallion single action which is 38spl only.

I DO NOT KNOW, BUT THESE ARE SOME DARNED GOOD QUESTIONS !!!!
Terry - it is an honest to goodness 38 SPL. imported by Stoeger's Tricky though. You have to stop it short of the cylinder lockup to eject the cases easily and the trigger can come a little forward to lock the cylinder it is in great shape and has top strap the shape of the one Paco blew up in his book. I would appreciate any other knowledge you have of it. Promises to be very accurate. What I used were just commercial reloads with mixed brass but all of the last six were on the 1' square. It says Uberti and Stoeger on the barrel.
In the High Desert of Southern Calif. ..."on the cutting edge of going back in time"...
they must have changed something Terry the uberti web site has listings for 1873 saa 38 spl and a bisley in 38spl mabe they finally got on the ball, any way check out their site.
YEP, THEY MUSTA DECIDED TO MAKE SOME CHANGES. NEAR AS I CAN RE-CALL THIS WAS AROUND 18 YEARS AGO WHEN I ASKED FOR A UBERTI 38SPL SAA. THE 357 THEY ENDED UP PRESENTING TO ME SHOOTS LIKE A MILLION BUCKS AND HAS AROUND 7,000 ROUNDS THROUGH IT AS WE SPEAK, IF MEMORY SERVES.
