Re: Made the cover of the San Diego Reader!
Crazy Californians. Your laws are .......... interesting. Carrying an unloaded Glock is like carrying a plastic brick; not much use. Oh yeah, you just call, "Time Out!" when accosted so you have enough time to load your weapon. I'm sorry that your state government limits your right to prot...

Re: shooting 158gr plated in Marlin 1894c/ w 2400 ??
I never got any leading from plated bullets. Before I knew I wasn't suposed to I pushed Raniers to 1750 or so FPS. Now I use 12 gr of 2400. I doubt leading will be an issue unless your pushing them very fast. I've talked to Rainier about their plated bullets and while they state on their website th...

Re: Long Range Shooting with a .357 Lever Gun?
Stock factory sights at 300 yds! You are likely young and certainly have great eyesight. At 61+ yrs, the eyes aren't what they use to be by a long shot and I find that I can see my 1/16" wide front sight clearly by looking through a small rear peep because the main advantage of the .032" a...

Base on our own Nate Kiowa Jones' evaluation of the issues with the Chiappa '92 models, I'd be leary of any rifle made by Chiappa.

Re: COST OF 22 RIMFIRE
A 550 rd bulk pack of Federal .22 at WM is still $13.97 (they get 10-15 boxes every couple of weeks so you have to act fast).

Re: Your vacation plans?
First off, I won't ever go on vacation again now that I'm retired, I just go on trips. Why you ask? Well, when you're working, you go on 'vacation' from work, right? So if you're retired and already not working, what's a vacation from that? Second, like bogus bill, we live in a place many ...

Long Range Shooting with a .357 Lever Gun?
I got my Rossi with a 24" barrel to hopefully shoot out to 200 yds at our range. The help with my aim, I got a Marbles tang sight and thinner front sight giving me a sight radius of 30". I figured I'd have to go to hot 357 Mag loads with my 158grn Zero JSP bullets to reach 200 yds. To my s...

New Guy Checking In
Howdy all. New guy checkin in. Got me a 24", 357 Rossi rifle a few months back to go with my Henry .22 and so I thought I'd join up. Took a bit of time to get accepted but I'm here now. I used Steve's action job DVD to work my Rossi up to a smooth running fun gun. I also got his safety plug, ej...
