1886 Kropatschek only paid a couple of hundred for it at a yard sale, but it is now approaching five years waiting to find an ejector/extractor.

After ten days of effort...we are all good. Here is the conclusion: A) managed to disassemble the lower tang...Blaster did it's job, broke the rust between the receiver and lower tang. Appreciate the suggestions but; A) the lever does not drop far enough to take out, barely moves in any direction, but is already disengaged from the lifter. Can not get it back over the notch. Just my personal favorite...405gr sized .459 w/29.0 grains of H4198 seems to work for me. ~1350 fps out of my Trapdoor (rifle), 1310 fps Trapdoor (carbine), and 1325 fps for my 1886.

Before I had Bobby Hoyt sleeve my original (cartouche is 1880) Trapdoor carbine, I would shoot .410's out of it all the time. Heck even got a turkey with it using Russian 00 ammo.

I Hear good things about the 375 Winchester loaded with the 220 gr. Hornady. The must be good I see they are sold out :D Also like that they have 303 savage and 7/57 in the line. Have used thousands of this round from WCC, always consistent. Still load their brass. Used a ton of their 20 M1 Carbine...

Definitely not a Winchester barrel on the '92 w/44Mag...too bad, the rest of the gun is very nice, original furniture and all. Dates 1905

Have an original .44-40 SRC barrel, still new (tag on it says 1921), wonder if that would spin right on???
