Re: Powder advice, please?

Depends on your guns and what they like, but IMR3031 is my favorite rifle powder. It is what I have the best luck with. I know a lot of people like 4895, and both of those powders are very versatile.

I use Varget or 3031. I get better accuracy with 3031 but Varget is good too, and is supposed to be more stable and not vary as much with the temperature.

I find my Mora knife to be probably my most useful/used knife, but in a "one knife only" scenario, I would probably prefer a Ka-bar heavy bowie or something similar. I really like the good carbon steel Cold Steel knives. I'm a bit of a knife junkie, and there are a lot of custom designs/ma...

I bought mine in the 90's as well. I think I paid $75 for it. Bulk ammo was cheap back then too. I'm not a real big fan of the gun per se, but for a cheap, rugged combat rifle or truck gun it's hard to beat. I don't have much experience with AK's, but from what I can tell I like the SKS better. I took a roundabout road to levers. My dad always had a couple growing up, but we never shot them much. We shot the bolt actions and semi autos, but handguns more than anything. Single action revolvers are my first love, and that is what I shot the most growing up into my late teens. I got involved ...
