I’ve had a Contender in 22 Hornet for many years. I’ve used it on all sorts of vermin such as squirrels, groundhogs, crows, etc. While I haven’t used it on one, I feel it would prove effective on coyote, within proper range of course With a 40 gr. I’m pretty happy Jim. Barrel was not fouled at all as far as I could tell. Seems like it feeds anything I shoot with no trouble at all.

I find the recoil of a .44 Magnum in a light carbine to be relatively mild but I think my .30-30 is easier on the shooter.

On the wall of the old depot (now a museum) in Columbus New Mexico is a Winchester 94 in .25-35 that was allegedly carried by one of the bandits in Pancho Villa’s cross border raid.

So the cartridge was apparently widely distributed soon after its development.

I don’t actually load for any rifle rounds these days but I remember loading for a .17 Remington back in the 1980s. Those little bullets and case necks were a bit of a challenge.

Maybe I need to slow down and take my time with something like this.

The proof is in the shooting.

Initial reports from other Shootists indicate that it will feed the 270SAA bullet just fine.

It’s a Skinner sight and I have them on a number of Marlins. Fully adjustable and you never see the brass while lookin through the rear sight.

I attend a Bible Study each Sunday morning in a very non-permissive environment. I carry my everyday carry gun there and don’t ever worry about it.

However we were invited to a regular church service on Sunday and I generally stay shy of organized religion. A different environment to be sure.

I’ve never owned one but I grew up reading about the cartridge in a TC Contender pistol and its use on varmints.

Easter Sunday is symbolic and will be celebrated by both the Eastern and Western churches on the same day this year.

I pray that nobody takes advantage of this to target people of faith.
