95 Winchester sights.

Since my Ruger is in the shop, I think it’s time to learn to use these sights.

With ball ammo, you have to draw a fine bead at 100 yards.

I wouldn't want you shooting at me in anger within a few hundred yards! Is that 95 a 30-06 or a 30-40?

.30-06. My older version is a .30-40 Krag.

Unfortunately that Russian ball ammo isn’t available anymore. I kind of hope that it will shoot well with a 220 gr CoreLockd bullet.

But this might make a pretty good saddle gun.

The numbers on the sight , do they correspond to distance or the height of the sight blade or neither ?
