I have 2 of the 550B's. One is permanently set up for small primers and the other for large primers. Same with the powder measures. I second the suggestion for a strong light of some type so you can see into the case to check the powder charge.

If you have the manual RCBS trimer remove the screw that holds the crank handle on. Take a trip down to the local hardware store and get a slightly longer bolt and nut, a power screw driver, and a socket bit that fits the bolt head. Powered case trimmer for under $30 bucks. Might be worth an email or call to the CMP. They list a three position JROTC match on the web site and used to sell air rifles for junior programs. I looked on the ammo sales page for fun but did not see any pellets listed.

Mine is a 1967 version which is a few years older than me. I can't see it ever being sold. They are full size adult rifles and should last forever with reasonable care so price is not much of an issue.

If they are old enough you don't have to sort for zinc or steel melt them down and put them on the cast bullets web site. You can sell them there for $1 a pound shipped any day of the week. I would guess you could get some takers here also.

KELTEC 32 acp. Small, flat and light. Dont waste you money on the small frame Beretta's they are not rated for P+ or any real amount of shooting. I found this out after I cracked a slide on a tomcat.

I have the phase 3. I have shot the most of the nastinose version. I think it was worth the money and the guys at work were all entertained when I started banging on rimfire rounds. They wanted to see missing fingers; it was a terrible disappointment.

Blaine, you just made me puke a little. A Dewey rod is some of the best money I have ever spent. I will admit to using the last section of a cheap aluminum rod with an AR chamber brush but the other 2 sections agent in the trash years ago.

Ruger M77 in stainless and old style synthetic stock. Stout recoil but not unbearable; a better than factory recoil pad would most likely help. Only shot factory loads through it at about 1.5" groups with the 225 grn partition. Kills Elk DRT if hit in any reasonable location.

I have the Peltors with the band behind your head rather than over the top. They dont have the highest NRR rating but they are always on and you can wear a hat with them. I did a fair amount of research before I started working up a load. I wanted an accurate bullet for pin point accuracy and one that would also be good for 200# predators. One thing you don't want are 55 gr fmj's. I keep on hand several thousand rounds loaded with 69 gr. Sierra Match Kings in front ...
