Filling the rear tires of my L2800 with methyl alcohol added 800lbs of traction and eliminated any concerns about overloading the front bucket. Don't have to worry about freezing either. No weights to add or remove, no calculations. Helps keep me planted when using the backhoe, also works just fine ...

Can't say I've noticed a problem getting my head in the right position, but the only scope I've used on a levergun was a shotgun scope on my Marlin Cowboy. The relief was generous, so head position wasn't critical.

Nothing to be ashamed of! :lol: The cardinal rule though, is to never trade a real rifle (aka levergun) for a plastic fantastic EBR. :mrgreen: I know next to nothing about the AR15 - m16 platforms. They are handsome in their own way, and fairly light if I recall. Now you owe us a range report! :D

For magnum loads (.357, .41 and .44 mag), I much prefer AA #7 over #9, 2400, or Blue Dot.
Loaded to similar velocities, I get noticeably reduced perceived recoil, and good accuracy.
Blackhawks are not easy on the hands as it is.

4wd, 5' bucket, 8' backhoe, 6' boxblade, 6' rake, 48" rear mower, 6' boom pole.

Take it. The one on the left is a WalMart Ranger that was a dark purple-brown until I stripped and sanded it down. Very nice, clear blond wood underneath.
