Re: Rapid fire with Brit Enfields

The Brits (and their enfield) are most famous for the widespread teaching of rapid bolt manipulation. I still think the enfield is overrated as fast. I'd like to spend some serious range time with one to really see but his is me shooting with an off the shelf Ruger. I honestly think the heavier weig...

There is a lot of misinformation regarding the "mad minute". Fired at 300 yards it was not at a 12" target as is usually reported but a nearly full size silhouette. The scandinavian countries still compete in the fast bolt action shooting. Granted they have slicked up guns but they st...

The big Cabelas by Spokane (actually it's in Idaho) had trigger locks on the used guns when I was there last several years ago. The smaller outlet store in Yakima has had them for at least a year now also. I dont know if either place did or did not have them on the handguns.

Up until 1940 there were bounties on eagles around the lower 48. I think the bounties continued up in Alaska up into the 1950's or so. I know several ranchers that are not at all fond of eagles when calving season comes around.

I was out in the shed doing some spring cleaning and found these while going through my late step-dads things. Neato!
