A buddy of mine drives a big rig for a living, lives in KS, I questioned him the other day about the fires. He said he was on I70 and it's just bare dirt as far as you can see. Brush/ forest fires are good for the land but when lives are lost its terrible!

My SIL is headed there in the morning. He oversees fire fighting efforts from a small plane. Just got back last week from Rolla Missouri. He has five years left before he retires from the USFS.
This is plagiarized from someone else, but I love it!

Can someone send me the link to the article, I can't seem to find it. Lots of articles about the fires and all the loss but nothing about shooting cattle?

The part about shooting cattle was a Facebook post that a friend of my wife posted. If that's what you're talking about.

Also range fires in Texas Panhandle burn a lot of cattle and pronghorn. You know all other wildlife in those areas was also burned.
