Re: Cylinder Gap demonstration (safety issue)
I discovered the cylinder gap blast on my own as a teenager with a Blackhawk 357.
I tried a fast draw and burned a hole in a lined flannel shirt.
Then later I tried adjusting the rear sight using a rolled-up Sears & Roebuck sleeping bag as a rest. Ripped a big burned hole in it.

Over thirty years ago now, a friend and I were hog hunting and set up on the edge of a 40 acre field. It was a clear night with no clouds and a big full moon. The moon was high and the field was lit up enough to see through the scope. No hogs in sight. But in the sky, looking south and up at about a...

Good idea. Thanks!
I am thinking about placing a small pouch with a snap down flap on the butt cuff to hold 5 or 6 rounds instead of the cartridge loops.
I've found that making a pattern or template is about 50% of any leather project.

I wore out a couple of Ruger MkII 22LR semi-autos in my youth. My favorite practice was to dump 500 rounds in my pockets and walk around in an old gravel pit. When a target of opportunity such as a tin can, dirt clod etc. caught my eye, I would draw, aim and fire. Over the many 1000's of rounds, I g...
