Very nice!
The last leather project I did was a shotshell bag( I copied from bob Allen) . It held 10 boxes, smaller compartment for empties and a compartment for glasses, chokes.
Then a puppy, don't remember which one decided to use it for a teething toy!

Yep, the dreaded backache is why I stand while casting ( and reloading) . I also made a riser platform for my pot , just a 5 sided box. Works nice as I keep the tub of flux right there in the box.

Yes, I've known that bear stat for many years, someone needs to tell the bunny huggers about it. There have been a few attacks, none lethal. Most have been the morons trying to get pictures or petting.

I'd start by swimming like Jim suggested. Of course polishing can't hurt either!
The extra length of a mag case puts the pivot farther forward and it's dipping down under its own weight which is the cause of not feeding.

Looks like Redfield mortise bases. However those bases had one mortise for the front ring and set screws held the rear ring in place.

I've seen those bases with that contour/lightening cut a long the profile but darned if I can tell you the maker!

We are going to do a head scratcher repair this winter, a huge walnut tree fell on an 1800s barn. Broke the center bent of the post and beam framing. We are scratching our heads on how to build the bent, stand it up without taking the rest of the barn down.
