Not sure what kind of adhesive they used to fix those medallions, but you might try blasting it with a heat gun or hair dryer - a lot of adhesives will give way with some heat. Use some thick white paper to cover and protect the stock from the heat (poster board).

If the cracks will open slightly, use your fingers to force Titebond wood glue into them, opening and closing the cracks by flexing the wood gently. The jasco is a dern good product, I have used a fair pile of it on guitars. Make sure to put your dancing shoes on first, if you get a tiny drop of it on your skin you are about to invent a new jig!

Naptha (lighter fluid) is available at any hardware store. I have used this product on guitars for 20 years
and it has never reacted with any type of finish ever. It is especially good at removing tape residue
