Don't throw the 240 Volvo into that stereo type! They are the best, I've had 2 go over 300k and the average cost of owning them has been $1000 a year, that's all expenses except gas and oil. Hey All, I would like to start looking for a '94 in 30-30. I know the pre '64 models are supposed to be better,but... I'd love to hear your opinions on the later versions; Why are they considered inferior? Any favorites or uglies?

I've used the Speer gold dot jhp with standard loads and it shoots really well. very pleasant rifle to shoot and will rival the hot revolver loads speed wise, and they seem plenty effective on deer and more.

I am going to start reloading some SWC's though for the economy of it.

I can't think of the name, but, it better be blue or equivalent. Red and especially green loc-tite I think would be too hard. Shouldn't be too much of a wrestling match to remove the screw, than blue loc-tite or even beeswax would give the threads enough 'suspension' to stay in place.

Well, the shooting high bit makes sense to me, but I tried holding low and then real low and still no new holes. Guess I should try it again with a bigger piece of paper.... Got some grizzly 300 grn loads too but they won't cycle through the action, too long but they will cycle through the Blackhawk...
