Dave,
May I re-post this? I think everyone needs to read this to remember both what Christmas is really all about and how truly blessed most of us are.

1892-firefuzz-others, I'm not singling out any person on this forum with that comment. Yup. With the right finger on the trigger the old Browning A5 will eat a Benelli's lunch for speed. And I'm pretty sure that Winchester's new Super X models and Remington's Versa-Max will too.

I thought we all had one or more of those "safeguards" to our liberty. More and more I'm becoming convinced that just as the '73 Winchester is maybe not accurately, but historically known as "the gun that won the West", the AR15 may very well become known by future generations a...

The top box, 220grn OTM is the old Sierra Match King 220 HP. The changed the name from HP to OTM for political reasons. It has no cannelure. Not sure about the other only that is has a visible cannelure.

Panzercat a good .22 LR conversion is money well spent for your AR system. I know .22 ammo is still high, but still far cheaper than .223/5.56 and it will shoot close enough to POA without adjusting your sights out to 50yds. Just fire a few rounds off the bench to determine the difference and you'll...

.308 WCF. Eaiser to find and cheaper ammo. Won't find 7mm-08 at boxmart. The 308 with 130, 150 , 180, and 200 grain bullets outperform any 7mm-08. You are giving up a lot of versatility. The 7mm-08 is an excellent cartridge on it's own. But, it can't even compare to the 308. Not so. The 6.5s and 7s...

Nice deer and very nice rifle. Thinking about having that done to mine. I think that's the perfect short range (under 200yds) elk/bear rifle. My custom .35 Whelan '03 Springfield took 3 deer the first year I had it built. None of them took a step.

Nice choice on guns. Your bullets may be to heavy to stabilize in the rifle because of it's twist rate, I think most .44's are set up around a 240 or lighter bullet. I've got my "little end" covered with my Browning B92 in .357 and any number of pistols I have in that cartridge. I'm still ...
