Anybody mount a scout or pistol scope on a Rossi single shot

I have two SS Rossi .357 Leveractions and recently found a stainless Rossi .357 single shot to go with them. I am thinking of cutting it down to 16" and put a scout scope or a long eye relief pistol scope. On another forum I was informed that a T/C weaver mount will fit NEF's but was wondering ...

Re: Front barrl band question

Once again-thanks for the technical info that you offer all of us on this forum Nate, I appreciate it. BTW- The Rossi video that I bought from you a while back was great info.

Re: Front barrl band question

It is the carbine I believe with the 20" barrel. After reading the posts by you guys , I wonder now what options some board members here have done in removing the front barrel band entirely while retaining a full lengh mag tube on a round barrel. I wonder if someone has tapped the underside of ...

Front barrl band question

I am going to chop down my 20" Stainless .357 Rossi. I noticed that the octogon barrel rifles have a different way of attaching the magazine tube to the barrl and was wondering what would I need to install the same set-up on a round barrel that has been cut down to 16 inches. Thanks

.357 velocities vs 9mm & .40 in carbine

I am curious as to how the 9mm and .40 S&W chambered carbines compare to the velocity gains that you see with the .357 mag. I know that you average 100 fps more for every additional 1" length of barrel up to a point in the .357 mag but do you see similiar increases in velocity in the 9 and ...

Mitch1352-where are you? On what side of 85?

I second Scott 64a's notion of a get together up at Wilson Shoals, even if its is an informal one on a Saturday.

Hello-I'm here near North Gwinnett High School. One of these days I plan on hooking up with Scott 64A and shoot some leverguns. Its just a little hard to do that while trying to keep a rambunctous 2 year old boy from dismantling the house!!! Are you moving here or on a business trip?

For those who keep a pump shotgun handy like I do- I read somewhere years ago about loading a dummy 12 gauge practice round (the metal kind) in the chamber and then pulling the trigger on it to relax the tension on the springs plus it has the added benefit of "disconnecting" the slide safe...

Nate-As usual, thanks for the great technical info, I do appreciate it. On a side note I bought the video and springs from you and it really gave me the confidence to dissasemble and work on my Rossi. I need to order the mag plugs next from you after listening to your explaination of how they swell-...

Pawn shop coach gun find questions

I am always reading about peoples' pawn shop finds on this forum and others but have never seen anything great myself. The prices on the firearms in the pawnshops around here in Gwinnett County, Ga have bordered on the absurd. I think I got lucky a couple of days ago when I found a 12 ga. Chinese (y...

Getting front sight height for .357 Rossi

I installed an Xpress rear sight on my Rossi 20" .357 and am trying to get the right front sight height. I will shoot primarily 125 gr .357 but will also shoot 200 gr 38 spc. up to 158 gr .357 mag. Can I shoot 125 gr .357 mag to zero at 80 yards (the distance I would like to zero at) and then s...

Cannonsix-you might find this interesting. Another gentleman with similiar eyesight problems bought the KNS front sight and wrote a lengthy review. I think you might find it interesting. http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:i8wLnNea9EcJ:www.clairewolfe.com/wolfesblog/00001120.html+kns+precision+revi...

Interesting front sight-what do y'all think?

I should first say hello-I was known as "SRCJAHC" on the original forum (R.I.P.) and finally made the move over here. Anyways, I saw an intersting front sight on Midway USA made by a company called KNS Precision. It has crosshairs installed in the front sight. Even more interesting is the ...
