Re: Way OT: Floods in Rio

Our prayers for all those people. Rio de Janeiro was once a place of admiration for all Brazilians. Unfortunaly, the creme de la creme of corrupt and populist politicians set their nest there along the last 30 years. It's also home of the most virulent antigunners in our country. Such a nice and fri...

Re: OT: Jaguar in the tall grass

Yahoo! I've never expected to "dig" so many brazilians. Very nice to hear from you fellows As you showed, AmBraCol, down here there's no tradition in useig high power rifles, not to say even weak rifles, for game hunting. Game (jaguar, puma) is (was ?) to be shot at short distance and shot...

Re: OT: Jaguar in the tall grass

I've been there last month. We stayed four days in a friend's cattle ranch. It was sure conforting t...

Re: OT: Jaguar in the tall grass

Hi Machado. It's pleasant to see another Brazilian at Leverguns. Where is your location? Perhaps we are near to each other. I live in Anapolis, GO. I've done some reading on Sacha Siemel. The Smith & Wesson he owned and used on them jaguars, was a 8³/8 pre Model 27. The Winchester 92 was a 14&qu...

Re: 38-40, 44-40 or ?

I've never owned a 44-40, but have 3 38-40's and all I can say is that they are a real hoot to shoot. The only downside is finding bullets for the 38-40 with a cannelure, but if you can use a FCD or have your own cannelure tool it's a non-issue. With the popularity of the 40 S&W and 10mm cartri...

Re: howdy

Welcome, The pictures did not appear to be poor quality to me, at least you can get a picture on here. Hi. I'm also a newcomer. I live in central Brazil and even though I've some other guns, two are my beloved ones: A Rossi 92, 357 mag, 20", purchased in 1978; A Winchester 92, 38-40, 20",...
