Single Action Revolvers

Very exciting.....just bought some single action revolvers online. I had a Ruger New Blackhawk .357 a while ago and now been thinking I wanted something a little more "cowboy" like. I don't have them in hand yet, but should in the next week or so. I'm working on acquiring a 3.5" Cimar...

Re: New Winchester 1892 Trapper .357 feeding issue

I've done some more reading and it seems it is hit or miss if they feed .38 specials. I can't fault the gun for that as it does say .357 only. I'll wait and hit the range with the .357 ammo and see how it does putting lead downrange.

New Winchester 1892 Trapper .357 feeding issue

Just scored this. It must have just arrived at the local shop at sompoint over the past few days as it wasn't there when I went up during the week. I found that odd, since they don't make them anymore. It is an 1892 Trapper. 16" barrel, 10 round capacity. Feels really good. Haven't shot it yet,...

Skinner sights on Henry Big Boy & Skinner 2 Gun Bag (pics)

Got my Skinner dove tail sights for my Henry Big Boys. Since i'm not one to wait, I had to put them on right away. I used a .22 casing over my metal punch so I didn't damage the sights. Some brass marks, but no biggie! As long as they work I don't care. Peep vs. Buckhorn http://i78.photobucket.com/a...

Very cool! I just got my first set of Skinner dovetail rear sights for my pair of Henry's. Heading down to install them shortly.

Re: New guy getting into lever guns

I just got word yesterday that my Big Boy .357 has arrived at the shop and awaiting me to pick it up. I think that will be a nice surprise after work today. No word on when my Henry Mares Leg is due to arrive. I plan to shoot them as is, and most likely pick up some Skinner barrel mounted peep sight...

Re: New guy getting into lever guns

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to putting some rounds through it. I know they aren't actually like the Henry's of old and these use a Marlin design in their operation, but from everything i've read they are sturdy, well built, quality lever guns. That, plus the fact that they are a family owned co...

New guy getting into lever guns

Hey all, Just wanted to say howdy. I've always been a fan of lever guns from as far back as I could remember. Always thought they were so cool. So once I got into firearms it was only fitting to get one. My first was a Marlin 336 in 30-30. Sold it and then I got a Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited in .44 M...
