I tried cycling .38 FMJs and almost every mag I get issues. Some of the issues were: one and a half rounds feeding onto the carrier which forces me to push the 2nd round back into the tube, the next round not stripping from the tube, or a round going under the carrier which makes me have to push the back in through the loading port. I don't have these issues with .357s, except for sometimes the next round not being stripped from the tube.
Does this have something to do with the length of the .38 cartridge? The barrel does say .357 ONLY. I haven't had a chance to shoot this yet, but if it doesn't load the next cartridge that is an issue.
Any ideas as to why it sometimes fails to cycle even .357 rounds?
The nice thing is that the trapper is 5 lbs 14oz while the Henry is 8 lbs 11oz.

The wood looks great too!
