1894 Winchester 38-55 Bore Size?
My Uncle just purchased an older original Winchster 1894 in 38-55 and I'm wondering what the bore may measure. I've scrounged up a old Lyman 37584 mould and I guess I'd like to use it if at all possible. Sorry I don't have photos of the lever, she's still at the gun shop. It's a round barrel (26'?) ...

OT- Lawyer Joke
A lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Sheriff's Deputy. He thinks that he is smarter than the Deputy because he is a lawyer from New York and is certain that he has a better education than any cop from Houston, Texas. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the expense...

I'd like to thank everyone for the encouragement, good wishes and wisdom. I'm OK, I'm working again and I expect this to be just a small bump in the road of life. I'm moving to a less expensive rental to try and stretch my new salary at my new job. I'd get a part time job (even two) in a heartbeat i...

OT- How do you figure out which ones to sell?
Push has come to shove and I'm going to have to sell a few guns to keep above water. I've been doing some serious soul searching while trying to figure out which ones to sell off. If I sell a couple of the ones that are worth a bit more I'll only miss two. BUT, I really like those two. If I sell a f...

Before I get too crazy, does anyone have experience with these and are they generally reliable? This one is a double feeding monster.

I was told that the rifle was lent to the previous owner's brother who took it to Florida. The FL brother passed away and the owner found it somewhere in the garage. It still has some scale on it but I can see the man who rescued it had been scraping and sanding it. I haven't looked down the bore bu...
