Re: 1895 marlin-- magnaport vs. non-magnaport

http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss198/Hunter4570/100_1041.jpg Hi, Here is my friend Christian from Marseille, south of France, his Marlin 95 is a blued one that was polished and sandblasted by french gunsmith near Paris. The caliber is 45-70 and the muzzle brake is really effective. Shooting 405...

Re: got my water buffalo with Marlin .450

Hi reflex264, Nice shoot and great caliber that 450. Planning a trip to Mozambique next year to hunt buffalo in the north of the country during wet season (less expansive for me). Think i'll use an 86 heavily loaded with 420 to 450grs lead bullets. Your success confirm my choice. The steak looks del...

Re: My new Marlin 338MX and 338MXLR

Hi,

Do you test it to 200 to 250m? Are they good to that distance? Would like to use lever gun to hunt some gams and corsican rams in French Alps and Pyrénnées where shots can be 300 meters long and often in windy conditions after some climbing and hard walking?
Thank you.

Re: OT- Now this is an aircraft

Nice aircraft that SR71 and the A12 and YF12 before it. Imagine what a bomber the XB70 could have be if it's developpment had been continued. I'm not sure but i think that some SR71 were put back in service for some time during the Serbian crisis. We even had TR1 and last version U2 based in Istres ...

Re: WHAT !!!!!! No primers................

As a french handloader i say for years that our problem will come from goverment agencies discretly acting to limit primers and powders. I also began stocking some but they are awfull...

Re: picture from the old world

http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss198/Hunter4570/DSC_0182.jpg Hi, Iwill try to answer some of your questions. Yes we can own rifles and handguns in France but with some restrictions. We can even own AR, AK, Sig, AUG and so on, but you need to apply for licences and you must renew every 3 years.....
