My understanding is that springers recoil away from the shooter at least initially! And this is what breaks scopes not rated for air rifles.

I can certainly understand the reason for that failure! At work we had this one server (computer) that we really really hated. We were discussing using it as the counterweight in a defective (by design) trebuchet! The idea being that everytime we shot the trebuchet the server would hit the ground HA...

Oh yeah! Way to go! One things for sure, your boys won't be running out of hogs to hunt any time soon. :) I'm not so sure about that! Given the teamwork the exhibited they would probably do a really good number on the feral hogs in a given region if told to do so! Excellent work on there part there!

Worst part about this is that it doesn't just have to just be lead free... It has to be certified lead free. So you can't just comply with the lead free requirement. You have to use ammunition that has bean certified to comply. :( In short no home made lead free ammo allowed!

What I find odd is that the newspaper is questioning if the boy had been trained in the use of the pistol in question. He won the battle and with a hand gun that all but implies training and practice to me.

So is that the original but stock put back together or a replacement. Either way that is a very good looking rifle there! Its the original fruitwood stock. It was so dried out, it had the weight of paper. About a pint of wood conditioner put the moisture back in and a bottle of wood glue is holding...
