Apparently there was a model between the Henry and the 66 that was called the transition. Taylors has'em on their website.
Don't know if they're historically accurate or even existed, but they got'em. I do believe there was a 44 centerfire chambered in the last of the Henrys.

People who think that nominies are more qualified to be President because they are female, white, black, richer or more attractive than the other nominies, are seriously confused. But then I never thought slick willie would be elected the first time, let alone the second. So maybe I'm the one who's co...

Gunnie....I e-mailed Uberti about 357s in their 73s. I stated that I was interested in one for small game and perhaps deer and they replied that standard, factory loads were OK. E-mail them and ask the same question.

Don't know about Cimarron but I believe Taylors are Armi Sport. They're handsome rifles. Can't speak to their quality. Stopped in there the other day and played the drool fool. Asked the lady clerk who is in SASS if they had any problems with them. She said one, that she knew of. Don't recall the prob...

It's really a matter of preferance or maybe more so,fit. Kinda like a good fitting shotgun or rifle. Some folks love'em and some hate'em,for whatever reason. This might not be a fair comparison, but my Ruger 5 shot Bisley is easier to handle with heavy 5 shot loads than my NM Blackhawk is with heavy 6...

That certainly is a fine looking rifle. And I just learned something new.
Haven't seen too many 71s, but that's the first I've seen with a staight grip. Maybe the reason for the tang. Stock change? Congratulations.

Just bought our Daughter one a couple weekends ago. It's a hoot to shoot. 2.5" bbl/.357 mag. Handloads useing Unique or Titegroup did
better than +p .38s in the white box. She loves it. But we haven't run
any fullhouse .357s through it yet. No real need to,but curiosity might
get the best of us.

Have both.Pacs on a S&W686 and Hogue on NM Blackhawk .45 Colt. The 4 5/8 Ruger has quite a bit of recoil with upper level loads and the Hogue, being of softer material, helps alot. But it sure looks weird. The Smith looks right at home with the Pacs on it. Best case scenario would be handle both. ...

1886.....Have had one since about 1988. Can't offer you anything about handloads as I came across a pretty good deal on factory ammo in quantity at a gunshow some years back. Very accurate and handy even in rifle configuration. I believe Jeff Quinn did a article on the 35Whelen a short time back on ...
