Winchester lever-actions

Post by Ysabel Kid »

I did post this question on the old forum - a real long time ago, and I can't find my notes on this. Here's a list of Winchester lever-actions, oldest to newest. Which one(s) am I missing?

Henry (Model 1860 - I know, a "pre-Winchester")
Improved Henry/Model 1866
Model 1873
Model 1876
Model 1886
Model 1887 (shotgun)
Model 1892
Model 1894
Model 71
Model 64

Brain-fanny burp big time. Just too long a week at work...

They may of had a 1875 also? I think it came out out only for a year and the new/improved 1876 replaced it.

You may be thinking of the Model 1868. it may have been called something else, but they shelved it to concentrate on the 1873.

Apparently there was a model between the Henry and the 66 that was called the transition. Taylors has'em on their website.
Don't know if they're historically accurate or even existed, but they got'em. I do believe there was a 44 centerfire chambered in the last of the Henrys.
