Buy your brother a drink and assure him that he is one of the good guys. Owen if you stay within the published guidelines you SHOULD not see any pressure signs, and flat primers are not an indication of high pressure, I have brass that has been reloaded 15 or more times and I get flat primers from loose primer pockets. I had a fun 4 day shooting chrono session. Hit an oxymoron with my 256WM. With a charge of H335 and a 86gr FP it does 2375fps. With same charge under the a 75gr HP it only averaged 2250fps . Is really accurate for me. Shooting thru a 2litre bottle of water, it exited and left a 1/2" by 3/4&quo...

JohndeFresno those minimum loads are for preventing hang fires not preventing stuck bullets, and a 240-265gr bullet at 1000 to 1200fps is all you need in a 44 for deer to elk, which I have taken with clean one shot kills. But with the right powder you can slow down to 800fps with your 300gr bullets ...

The R&P case in the picture has a very bulged case to go with the primer, the primer showes that the bolt is moving and causing head space issues with those rounds.

Yep we need more laws thats for sure, kinda like outlawing the texas heart shot or maybe limit guns to hold only one round. Here is a good one, make it illegal to shoot other hunters, oh wait it is illegal. Yep we need more laws to cover the stupid.
