Re: Marlin 35 Remington Question
I have a 336sc that my father passed on to me and I passed it on to my son. It shoots 2" groups at 100yds and even though it"s my sons gun now I still steal it to go to the range and when we go coyote hunting it's almost as good as a shotgun! I love the gun and it will always be in our fam...

Re: Starting to reload 357
I have used Lee products for over 35 years. I have never had issues with the products or the ammo I have loaded. I work hard for my money and Lee offers the product to allow me to shoot more. I would much better be out shooting at the range than looking at a big blue machine in my reloading room. I ...

Re: You favorite lead bullet for loading .357 carbine?
For the best fun with coyotes I load 110 gr sierra hp's with 20 gr of 296. Makes them lose thier minds. Out of a 1894 Marlin 18" carbine. Very fun load!

Re: I need advice...Marlin 1894c or a Puma 92
I have had the pleasure of useing a 1894c in marlin .357. It has not jammed and not malfunctioned in anyway. It is the best rifle I could ask for with what I want out of the rifle. No recoil and a coyote will come apart with full mag loads with a 110 gr load! I love my Marlin and would not part with...

.308 Marlin express
Has anyone had any experience with this round in the model 336 marlin? I want to buy a new rifle in .308 but I want a lever gun. I'm getting older and the long range and super mags are fading fast! P.S. I do reload.

.35 rem for elk?
My son has drawn cow elk youth hunt in 6a in Arizona. My question is would the .35 rem be up to the task on cow elk? I gave him a 336sc that my dad gave me 40 yrs ago and he would like to take grandpa's rifle with him. He would be using horandy's new rubber tipped 200 gr bullet if we took it. What d...

Re: OT - Coyote Hunting is a Blast
I've been hunting yotes for about 30 years. Used a old boom box with Johnny Stewarts tapes at first! It did work. I'm older now and use an electronic call and a 1894 Marlin in .357 to do my dirty work. The 1894 with 158gr xtp's really do a great job and it handles great in the thick stuff. I have sh...

Re: Favorite Primer & Powder Preference
CCI is the only primer I use and for the .357. I use trail boss for plinking and H-110 for full throttle stuff. Trail Boss just smells better!! Also use Bullseye for target loads.

Re: Which Lever Gun Do You LIKE the best ...
I love my 1894 marlin in .357. It fits, shoots and very inexpensive to shoot and reload for. Coyotes out here in AZ do not want to come in closer than 100 yds with this gun in my hands!

Re: .357 for deer hunt?
I think I'll let it ride. I'll post what happens should I get lucky and shoot a deer with one. Thanks for the info. I'll pick up some of the buffalo bores and try them out too. I agree, I think :D Horanady made this round with the lever gun in mind, so the bullet was also made for a carbine. We will...

.357 for deer hunt?
I am going deer hunting this year up by Flagstaff. It is heavy woods and I was thinking of taking my .357 marlin carbine along this trip. The range would not be over 100yd and I am using the new ammo from Hornady "leverevolution" 140 gr. Whats your thoughts on this set up. I really like sh...
