Sixgun has it right. The case just in FRONT of the rim (not the rim itself) needs to be sized down to solve the problem. You can make your own Sabots any size.
Been doing it for years.
It's called Paper Patching.
There was an article in Gun & Ammo a few years back describing how.
The bigger the difference between the bore size and the bullet you want to use the
more difficult it becomes.

While every firearm is a law unto itself the rule of thumb I've always used is 1100 feet per second velocity and above requires a hard cast bullet or gas check. The Speer manual advises your bullet for 1000 fps or less. It won't hurt to try though, at the worst you will have some lead in the barrel ...
