I was so cute I had to bring it home . . .

. . . A 3.5" Taylors & Co "Stallion" in 38 Spl by Uberti:

And shown under a "big brother" Taylors & Co / Uberti 4-5/8" 1873 in 45 Colt for size comparison:

The grip frame is a standard-size 1873; first thing I did was install a lighter spring kit. The sights are very well regulated to a 6 o'clock hold at 25 yds. Busted a bunch of claybirds this past weekend with it. Recoil is very manageable, but the little Stallion does climb a bit more than I expected, no doubt a function of the low mass.

One of my wife's best friends has a pair of those with birds head grips that she uses for CASS. Wife's shot them(so have I) so she "WANTS THE PRECIOUS" pretty bad but the finances have come together yet. We'll have to go new since they just we don't see them used around here. I think they are pretty good pistols from what I've seen and they are very cute.

I need one of those. I have a lot of 38 Spcl ammo and nothing to shoot it from.
That is really cute. What brand of spring kit did you use?

I had one of those with a 5 1/2 inch barrel and it was a joy to shoot. Thought it would be a nice tree rat gun but my state does not allow hunting with .38 for small game. good luck and look forward to hearing your range report.

I thought this was a mans Man kind of forum.

I picked up one of those for Y2K that has a "lightning-style" grip years ago, and he loves it. It is just a joy to shoot, and fits him perfectly right now! :D

And a Uberti 1862 Police (6½") arrived at my house. Much like the Bearcat for size (except for barrel length).

I saw one of those at the show last weekend but am trying not to buy more guns.
