Re: Favorite 22LR ammunition

I have one rifle that really likes Aguila Match Rifle and shoots nasty Rem Thunderbolt well also. Most of the 22s I’ve had have done well enough with CCI mini-mag hp. Need to find the right load for my S&W 617 4” 10 shot.

Re: belling 357 case mouth

My 360 Dan Wesson needed .360 bullets for best accuracy. Just shoving a .360” hardcast plain-base bullet into a 357 case with a belled mouth swaged the bullet base down to .357”. I made a plug for my Lyman M die. NOE has the correct plug in stock.

With regard to steels on knives used hard, 154CM is my fav. S30v and D2 are nice but a bit brittle for my use. 154CM will roll an edge rather than chip. Straighten right out with a steel. Easy to sharpen too. My 2¢ On cheaper knives, 440c is great. The Boker Stockmen 440c can be bought on fleabay fo...

In countries where the currency collapses, silver and gold always have a known value with regard to tangible items like bread and such. The value may not be known at the time of the collapse but very shortly after most everyone can tell you what a loaf of bread costs in silver. I’ve read that a loaf...

The commemorative editions of the Winchester 94s don’t garner much of a premium and generally have great fit and finish as compared to the other 70s Winnies. Most were not shot a bunch. Not that that matters. Gunbroker, under completed auctions has quite a few that sold between $500-$700. One thing ...

And, you can sell it without even firing it after you get it back with the confidence that it is going to be factory certified perfect. You’ll have the paperwork to support your confidence if you’re inclined to share it with the buyer.

I’ll jump in here with a comment on Lil’Gun: it has performed best for me at about a 90% case full behind the bullet. Velocities seem to fall off as the case gets full and more so compressed. Add to that the sound you hear with compressed - it’s downright eerie. Never heard anything like it. 357, 38...
