The best thing for the government to do about this is to announce that no charges by Hilton or their subsidiaries submitted by government employees will be reimbursed. Hilton will be shocked how much business they no longer have...

That was, keyword was, a franchise Hampton Inn. Apparently those franchisees are no longer affiliated with Hilton.

Hilton jumped on this pretty fast. To paraphrase Michael Jordan, they know "Republicans stay in hotels too". I'm a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member (30 years of business travel), and they do a pretty good job overall. But like anything else, individual hotels can be pretty wacky!

I hope the owners of that particular Hotel get hit in the wallet.

I think Hilton responded well. Hopefully they do follow through and eject the scumbags from their chain.

If they do, the next time I stay at a hotel, I might stay at a HIlton... (although I generally prefer to sleep in my vehicle on the rare occasion I travel far).
