Tia has grown up here......

Post by Nath »

and what an outstanding little spaniel she is!
I was invited to a pheasant shoot today and Tia worked and retrieved 22 birds for me today, well behaved and ever alert.
She even caught a rabbit but let it go the moment it squealed so soft her mouth is!
Image
I trimmed her ears and feet the night before so they would not get too tangled in the briars.
I love her :D

In Pennsylvania I haven't seen 22 ringnecks in the last 22 years! You and that dog of yours are quite the team. My beagle is growing old and I haven't hunted him this winter. Arthritis in his hip knocks the pep out of him now.

Wonderful dog you have there. Sounds like she hunts as well as she looks.

What type of spaniel is she? I'm a retriever guy so I don't know spaniels very well. We get our share of birds and a bunch more though.

Tia is the kind of dog a lot of fellows would be proud to own.

I think it's amazing to see a dog allowed to be a dog, and doing what it was bred to do and as it's genes command.

A fine and happy animal.

Nath,

I'd say you are both very lucky. Both of you have a good life over there. A hunter's life.

Besides being purdy, retreiving a Fox also makes her fearless in my book !

Wow, Tia is a beautiful companion and a great hunter. You are a fortunate man. I hope you have many enjoyable days in the field together. I will share a picture of my dog. He is a Rat Terrier by the name of Buddy. He is a great friend and hunter. He hunt squirrels, barks tree on them and raccoon, possums. He really excels on rabbits and have had many great hunts with .22 rifles and handguns. Thanks for the post.

I don't have the time, patience, or know how to train a gun dog. I've thought about getting one a couple of times but each time I've thought better of it.
