Cool, ya don`t see a lot of sixteens around here, mostly 12s and 20sgame keeper wrote:Pitchy, my hammergun was made in the seventies and has chrome lined steel barrels but I've had a few Damascus barreled shotguns in the past.
You might consider a suppressor; the cost may vary from $400 to $1000 depending on whether you want to suppress one firearm, or many, and want to suppress a .22 LR, .357 Mag, or .444 Marlin.Streetstar wrote:I'm jealous of some of you. My place is 400 yards deep and 200 yards wide, but the only thing i dare shoot is the occasional load of .22 shorts from my Henry. I am considering investing in an airgun too.
Maybe you could make a deal with the land owner that would allow you to use the land in exchange for cleaning it up a little. Or if they gate it maybe you could have a key.geobru wrote:I can still shoot on private timberland about 5 minutes from my house. I can shoot out to 100 yards there. That will most likely be gated in the near future due to the inconsiderate morons that dump trash and tires on the timberland. The owners are sick and tired of having to clean up the messes. Whenever I shoot there, I pick up all of the litter that I brought, targets, etc, right down to spent 22 cases.
There is a gun club about 30 miles from here tha I occasionally use, but for now, my preference is the hill behind the house!
