i have a bunch of different 22s any body have
input as to which setup to purchase?
have printed the order form but agonize over
whether i should get one at a time with more
diameters or 3/4 at a time with fewer.

I know this is a non-answer, but I got one mid-winter, and plan on using once the weather is warmer, to do some testing on a couple of my .22's, so I will also be checking this thread for responses!

I got the two-hole, four-chamber, one, and it seems well made.

One question I've wondered about is if it would be better to use it in sort of a 'nutcracker' press, as opposed to with a mallet, just to get more uniformity.

Tell Paco what you'll use the ammo in and he'll fix you up. I'm all for the maximum number of options. The tool works well once you get the "feel" for it. It is NOT for ham handed or inattentive operators.

Yes,I bought one.
I bought the cheapie model because thats how I do things.

I found little difference through the marlin.
The Henry"s showed enough improvement to pay for the tool.
What was surprising was my 35 yr old Browning, (which is my base for 22s, showed improvement)
Buy one you wont be sorry.

Don't forget the range report. :) I'll be picking up mine the first week of June, the Lord willing. It should prove fun to play with - if I can find ammo when I get up there...

Using a small Arbor type press will be more consistant than the plastic mallet approach.

I bought a small Arbor press from Harbor Freight that I use for such tasks. $39.00, IIRC.
