This thing is a 325 grain FN GC mold . I think they were originally made for Contenders that had been rechambered to 444 although I could be wrong !
Anyway I have this one for use in one or more of my 444 Marlin's .
Has anyone here dealt with this mold before ?
I plan to try it in my 444P which has the ballard rifling with the faster twist ! And also one or more of my older slow twist micro barreled rifles .
I think I'll first try water quenched WW's . In the past my tried with the NEI 429330GC with air cooled WW's in the micro barrels have been keyholes at 50 yards . But in the 444P they shoot well enough ! My thinking is if I make them harder on the outside they should grip the micro barrels beter and not strip out as the aircooled bullets seem to be doing to me so far .
Later I'll try the 429649's aircooled in my 444P I think .
I wanna get both these straightened out before I get my hands on one of the Ranch Dog 432-350GC molds ! And if I can get that thing working there is a man on Marlinowners in Sweden who recently had Mountain Molds make him a 432-400GC ! I just might have to take the next step as well

I never was a big 444 person and still aren't for the most part . But I gotta say I sure do enjoy messing with the cast bullets in the rifles that were made 1975 and earlier
