I saw somewhere that Phoenix is putting some kind of reflective coating on the roads.

I remember years ago I took a thermometer up on the roof, usually by 1pm it would show 140° or more. That's when we knew to get off the roof !!

I will take dry heat to humidity any day. I lived through the rainy season in Mozambique for 6 years. I understand wet heat. I grew up in Arizona. I understand dry heat. I know what I prefer if I have a choice. :lol:

Way back in the day.....during tricky dick's first term, when I was just a wee lad, they (network news) used to show an egg being fried on a sidewalk as proof that the ice at the poles were melting. All I can remember from that era besides ronstadt's nipples showing on the album cover was that I'd prefer my egg being cooked a bit more than nature's heat alone.

This -- about dogs. Don't make them walk on asphalt when it gets this hot!

You're absolutely right, Gamekeeper. It drives me bananas to see people out walking their dogs on hot asphalt.

It's Arizona..it's hot..happens every summer..since the beginning of time...you'd think people would accept and realize that, lol
