I picked up a Lefever G Grade circa 1902 10 gauge . Gun has very nice 30" barrels that seem to be modified and full . Bores on this gun are bright and the barrels are not cut andtgeyring true theentirelengthof both barrels . Now for the negative , at some point the stock was replaced with a Fajen . The trigger guard was changed a bit and the sear springs as well as a couple screws need to be replaced . On a side note I have old original springs and screws on the way . Also have a KickEez to install on the Fajen stock . Hopefully this gun will be back together week after next as well as the pad fit . Then hopefully I can pattern my buckshot loads in this old gun .

I have never had the pleasure of handling a Lefever shotgun, I know they have a good reputation, so I'm interested in how well it shoots. Nice to see the top lever in the correct place...

I "almost" bought a Lefever live pigeon gun a couple years ago . It was a higher grade , no safety , English stock , 32" full and fuller barrels . And the stock dimensions were shall we say closer to the dimensions of today , very little of any drop in the stock . I had a Parker VH that was about the same except it had a safety .

I'm impressed that someone actually found a new stock for an old double, never mind an Uncle Dan's !
It looks like it'll be fun to shoot !
.
Well Fajen's been outta business for about 15 years and I would "assume" this gun was restocked before that . Anyway I'll keep my eyes open for an old usable original stock . Thought the fellow I got the springs from might have and old used stock but he said he didn't have a decent one that would fit s 10 . The Fajen actually has a bit of figure , might get a stockmaker friend to checker it and get a Lefever grip cap . That might just satisfy me !

This summer might refresh the Damascus barrels . My gunsmith buddy is getting pretty decent with the process to bring the Damascus patterns back out . Incidentally I heard yesterday Dale Edmunds is no longer accepting barrels and when he's finished doing the ones he has on hand he will retire .
