I'll bet the Gent with the C&B should not be trifled with, either. Great Pic, Sir.

I often wonder when looking at these old photos, if we unknowingly are looking into the past of the very guns now resting in our modern day safes.

Thanks for sharing this, Casa. Wish I had a couple of old enough lever guns in my safe that could have been in this image.

I noticed that too. I doubt their brush was any thinner back then.

'73s sure look to be popular! The fellar seated 2nd from right has cartridges that look a little long for the action of his levergun!

Great picture.

I zoomed it up, I dont think any of them are 76's.

I've noticed that in pics of what look more like town guys, theres more rifles, in pics of outdoors/working cowboy types and lawmen, carbines are more common than with the town looking guys.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt-

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Just my opinion, but the fellers in these old pictures look way more BA than todays black rifle, tacticool, shaved head crowd.

Sorry if I offended anyone. Just sayin'. :D
