I think we're a solid GO for June 28/29 - I even have a backup range at a DNR facility if the Curmudegons make things way too difficult... but I don't think it will be necessary.
To use my Club, I had to submit a relay-based course of fire, so if it seems really structured... it is.

But we will have fun anyway.
NOTE: In cans they are needed, I will have on hand Lee Loaders in the following calibers: .38/.357, .30-30 & .45-70
Barring really ugly weather, here's Plan A.
Saturday June 28:
Sign-in begins at Noon.
1300 & Range/Safety Briefing(s), begin First Relay.
Relays will progress at 10 minute intervals with 5 minute seperations to change/review targets - 4 relays per hour. This ought to give most guys a chance to shoot Two to Four 5-round Ranch Dog targets per relay.
Side Match Targets: Once you are happy with your Ranch Dog targets, I will have a variety of Side Match Targets that can be shot in the same Relays as the RD targets.
1600 (+/-) LeverHunter Gong Match: (still pending approval)
After everyone is satisfied with their RD targets &/or 1600comes along we will have the LeverHunter Gong Match.
There will be an 18" gong at 200yds and an 8" gong at 100 yds. The objective will be to "Shoulder & Shoot" hunting style. Scoring will be "Miss & Out". (This will continue through & after Dinner until we have 100yd & 200yd winners - shoot-off for Special Prize - a genuine, imitation reproduction, made in India, artfully antiqued in America, cast-iron padlock marked "Property of Pony Express Station #6".
It weighs about 3# and works just fine. )
Cookout & Fellowship to follow beginning at 1700. (I'm going to try to have enough food/beverage, but if people "pot-luck" a bit it will sure stretch my Stone Soup a bit farther...

)
Overnight Camping onsite available.
NOTE: There is a Flea Market next door to the Range that runs all day Saturday & Sunday. Sometimes there's good stuff sometimes it's mostly junk. There IS a guy selling anvils right now though... he's even got a 550#er.
If people want to camp out, let me know so we won't have to Punt for breakfast.
