I thought about .358 Win from the get go as the easiest, cheapest solution but it won't clean up a 57mm chamber. That's when I started looking at the larger "classic" Mauser calibers. My reason for the 9x57 over the 9.3x57 is I could use .357/9mm bullets for plinking, paper punching etc (which is what this rifle would see 99.9% of the time).Cast Bullet Hunter wrote: Have it rebored to .358 instead of 9mm.
