If you like planes, then be sure to check out every angle of the up/down or left/right views and you can even zoom in/out to check out all the details. I sure did!

( Sorta makes you wonder how/where they mounted the camera, doesn't it???

Some of you have heard from me before that my late father worked on Spitfires on an RAF Base northeast of London back in WWII, and then they got P47 Thunderbolts when the US Army Air Corp took over flight operations. Finally, they traded in the old "Jugs" and got the Mighty Mustangs, first the B Models and later the Ds with their bubble canopies. (I don't remember hearing about any Cs.) From his stories, I can make the following observations...
* From these views, you can really see why "the boys" liked the D Model versus the framed-canopy of the B or C Models (or a Malcolm Hood, if you were stuck with a B or C), so you had a less obstructed view of all the bogies flying around you.
* I'm surprised there isn't a Spitfire rear-view mirror mounted at the top of the windshield, as almost all the B & D 'Stangs on my Dad's base were fitted that way -- but maybe that's because they had Spits on the base in the early years of the war.
* Wow, there's sure a lot of things to touch and watch in there! This would be a great place for a "Knobulator" (one who plays with knobs!) to spend an hour or two! I sure wish my Dad was still around so we could play with this together...

FYI, here he was back in the 90's with a D-model Mustang at an area air show: Gosh, he would have loved viewing that website... Hope you do too!
