Buster, if You didn't buy that 64 could You post the contact info on the classifides as I'm sure some other Levergunners would be intrested in a Hunter Grade Model 64.

If the bore is better looking than the outside, I'd try to knock a few quid off the price and go for it! Provided of course, you're lookin' for a shooter and not a safe queen. :P

2 years from now the money will be gone. If you buy the rifle, at least you will remember where your money went :D For what it worth I would buy it in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!

The $850 gun is overpriced. The sling swivels are after market and detract from the gun considerably. It's "real time" value is more like $550, tops. I bought a VERY NICE 1947 Model 64 from a fellow forum member for a lot less that. :)

I will probably buy the $475 rifle but I need a front sight hood (an original not a repro), anybody has an extra one for sale? I'm in Canada but I'm sure it's not a problem to ship one here.

The cheapest 64 I have seen around here was $575. It had a 64 barrel, a 94 straight stock and lever, and was obviously cobbed together. The only other ones I have seen were a deluxe model in excellent condition for about $1200, and a decent one at Cabellas for $850.
